Creating a Book Using a Storyline

Creating a book using a storyline

After you upload photos to your account, you can either use one of our storylines or write your own.

To use one of our storylines, first upload photos to your account, then click on Storylines from the home page:

You will see a list of all 21 storylines, click on the one you want to view to see the full text.

Select your size (4x5 or 6x6).  Then use the box below the text to make your changes to the storylines, whatever you type in the box will be added to the page.  If you leave a page blank, the storyline text will appear on the page.  In either case, you can still edit the text later.  Click submit after you have entered all of the text.

A book will open with all of your text at the top of each page.
Click on the “My Albums” tab below the book.  Please note:  The layouts tab is used in the write your own option, you can use it in the storyline option, but adding a layout to a page will remove text.  If you decide you would like to design with layouts, copy the text, then drag and drop a layout, then paste the text into the pre-defined text spot shown in the layout you choose.
Click on the album that contains the photos you want to use in your book.  All of the photos in your album will load, you’ll see % appear to show you how soon your photos will load, this depends on your computer speed, internet connection speed, how many photos are in your folder (usually just a few seconds).  If you have hundreds of photos in an album, it will take longer, we suggest you pick which photos you’d like before uploading to the site or split your photos into multiple folders if you have lots of photos.
Drag and drop a photo from the “my images”  (my albums changes to my images when you open an album) tab below.  You can switch back to all of your albums, by clicking “back to album”.

Click and drag the image to move it where you would like it on the screen:
To resize the image, drag the image so that you can see any corner.  There are two black frames.  Click  and drag the inner frame to crop the image (drag the inner frame back out to un-crop the image).

To resize an image, click and drag the outer frame out to make it larger and in to make it smaller.  Below I clicked the outer frame and dragged it in to make the photo smaller.

You can add as many photos to a page as you’d like.  More on arranging photos without a layout can be found here:
